La Taquisa

Mexican cuisine is one of those cuisines that got hijacked by western fast Food. Luckily in Victoria we have some fantastic authentic Mexican Restaurants and La Taquisa is one of them.
We visited La Taquisa on a mission for Chilaquiles. If you haven’t had Chilaquiles it is a must try for breakfast. Shredded and fried corn tortilla, salsa, sour cream, cheese, eggs any style, refried beans and Salsa Verde. We went over easy with the eggs and opted to add Beef Al Pastor creating our mexican brunch.
Talk about a fiesta of flavours!
Victoria is jam packed full of breakfast joints, pun intended, but if you are looking for something different. Perhaps a departure from the inevitable avocado benny with hemp seeds then check this place out.
La Taquisa has three locations at the time of this port. We visited the downtown location conveniently located along what seems to becoming restaurant row in Victoria on Blanchard Street. This location has seats inside and outside. Perfect for people watching while you devour your tacos.
Watch here for another review coming soon, the Chilaquiles were so good we need to get back there and try their Huevos Rancheros! Some tacos and Margaritas will be going on the bucket list of Victoria restaurants as well.
