Damali Lavender & Winery

Cowichan Valley – August 2020

With the pandemic in Phase 2 we have started to venture out and explore Vancouver Island. One the best things about Vancouver Island is there is always something amazing on the way to where you are going, in our case on this day that was Damali Lavender & Winery.

The Arrival

The smell of lavender washes over you the instant you pull onto the property. The aroma brings about a calming feeling and prepares you for a tasting that is different that your typical wine tasting.

The Tasting Room

The Vineyard was plated in 2006 and the first wines were released in 2011. The wines are unique and delicious and if you are the type of person that doesn’t like flavoured wines I encourage you to try these because the are all fantastic, so much so we purchased a bottle of every wine we tasted that day.

Their website says they encourage people to bring a picnic and enjoy the property, along with the wine, which I think we will do at some point. Our trip on this day was about the tasting and it was a great success.

Until next time, cheers!
